Nancy Boyda, Dennis Moore and the worst job performance ever

A recent Gallup poll, released on May 14, finds that this Congress has tied for the lowest approval ratings in United States history.

According to this poll, “Approval of Congress has dipped below 20% for only the fourth time in the 34 years Gallup has asked Americans to rate the job Congress is doing. Today's 18% score, based on a May 8-11 Gallup Poll, matches the record lows Gallup recorded in August 2007 and March 1992."

Interestingly, all of the lowest approval ratings came when Democrats controlled Congress. The inability of Democrat leadership to tackle any of the important issues to Americans is reflected in these poll numbers.

Like many Kansans, there are concerns across the country about the state of the economy, rising fuel prices, and national security issues. All of which the Democrat leadership in Congress promised to address when they took over last January, and all of which they have failed to address.

Instead, the Democrats in Congress are doing things like passing budgets that pave the way for a $683 billion tax increase (the largest in American history), 9,000 pork-barrel earmarks last year, and votes to increase energy produced in the United States.

It’s clear that Nancy Boyda, Dennis Moore, and their Democrat leadership are taking America in the wrong direction. In November, voters in Kansas will have a choice to wake up Washington with new leadership.
