BREAKING NEWS: Nancy Boyda Votes Against the Middle-Class

Last night Nancy Boyda broke her promise to help the middle-class by joining with 29 other Democrats to stop middle-class tax relief.

Her vote against eliminating the alternative minimum tax (AMT), affects 2nd District families making as little as $50,000 per year. (House Roll Call 634)

Not only that, with her vote last night she directly contradicted what she said a few short weeks ago in her personally lauded newspaper inserts.

"I'm working hard in Congress to help you keep more of your hard-earned money. I am continuing to author legislation and cast votes to relieve the burden of taxes on middle-class families." (Page 9, Voters Guide 2008, #1, http://www.nancyforcongress.com/issues)

And, in 2006 she stated:
"I'm not going to raise taxes." (Boyda 2006 campaign ad, MSNBC.com 12/4/06)

Congressional candidate Lynn Jenkins said this:
"We're still waiting to see where Boyda has worked to help Kansans keep more of their money. From the gas pump to the pocketbook, Boyda is hurting Kansas families at every turn."

Nancy Boyda is misleading her constituents on some of the most important issues facing them. We wonder how long it will be before she calls this another "dirty trick."
